Turning the Powder Into Something You Can Use

Every bottle of our avocado seed powder carries a recipe. Here is what the recipe is for, and how to use it carefully.

Why there is a recipe in the bottle

The powder on its own is a raw natural material. The recipe inside each bottle tells you what to combine it with so you can make a balm you apply to the skin. We include it because guessing is not a kindness, and because we would rather you knew exactly what went into anything you put on your body.

What it is for

Our purpose for the powder is to settle and calm the skin. It is a cosmetic, not a medicine, and it does not treat any condition. It is for everyday skin that wants soothing, and for the moments when a warm, simple routine is what you are after.

Patch test first

Every skin responds differently, including skin that has never reacted to anything. Apply a small amount to an inside forearm or behind the ear and wait a full twenty-four hours before going anywhere near your face.

Stop using it if you notice redness, itching, burning or swelling. Botanical ingredients are naturally derived, and naturally derived does not mean universally gentle.

If you are under medical care

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, managing a skin condition with a doctor, or using prescription topicals, speak to your healthcare professional before using the powder or preparing a balm from it. That is not us being difficult. It is us telling you the same thing we would tell a friend.
